Greetings gals, hope you all are having a fantastic summer! Only a few short weeks left till back to school, personally I’m opposed to school starting before the long weekend in September! I can’t get enough of Ryley and will be very sad when school does start again. Oh and can someone tell me when I got old enough to have a kid going into grade 6!!!?? How DOES that happen? to say nothing of my baby boy going missing! I’m sure I’m not the only one that has encountered this weird phenomenon.

We here at R&R Have had a fabulous summer, I’ve just been enjoying the outside, the lake and the sunshine. We’ve not had too many rainy days to speak of. My to do list for rainy days keeps growing and it looks like it will have to wait till the fall.

The fall, plans have changed again this time for the better! My surgery has been postponed and yes the only word for that is THRILLED! I feel like I’ve got a new lease on life and all is right with the world! I’ve been responding to medication and so surgery can wait. My hair is growing back and my nails have started to grow again too, really the little things in life that I so used to take for granted. No more I promise! Also great not making Christmas cards this month as well as Christmas shopping and Ryley’s birthday and it just goes on and on. Thankful thankful thankful is all I can say! And when I thought I was better in May and June and even July I’m astounding myself at how much I was not better and as I continue to get stronger I see now how better is such a relative term!

Well the time has come to wish Laura well, my faithful employee and friend is moving on from R&R. Laura has successfully gained admittance to NAIT in the dental assistant programme and really we do wish her well in her future endeavours. It is something that she’s always wanted to do and I know she’ll be a great success at it. I’m sure that I’ll be able to twist her arm into coming back and helping during really busy times and sales etc. but for now you all are stuck with me! I’ve been enjoying being back and getting in touch with our fantastic customers first hand. Thanks Laura for everything!!!

Milk Bottles, Milk Bottles where are you??

Yes they ARE coming, and we have adjusted our pre-orders to accommodate all the pre-orders you all have been requesting. We understand that they are now expected the beginning of September and so just as soon as we get them they’ll be on the way to you! Is it too late to reserve your bottles ? NO go ahead and email us at sales@scrapbooking.ca with how many bottles you’d like and we’ll do our best to keep everyone happy! That’s what this is all about isn’t it?? Cricut – ing Soon!

What’s lime green and was all the rage at CHA Summer?? The Cricut by Provo Craft made its debut and WOW…it is very cool!! Cut what you want with the new Cricut (check out the website at www.cricut.com). This amazing new electronic personal cutting system does not require a computer. It is a cartridge based system that allows you to cut thousands of beautiful shapes, letters, and phrases in a variety of sizes and styles with just a touch of a button!! There are 12 Cricut Cartridges available and each cartridge will allow you to add special effects to the alphabets, shapes and phrases for literally thousands of custom combinations!!! A ship date has not been confirmed; however it will probably ship late 2005. Get your pre-order in as this is sure to be a hot seller!! The US pricing is up on their site, we’ll be sure to get you the best price possible these will be a special order item only.

Got Boxes?

As you can imagine we got through lots of boxes around here, the stampin up boxes that some of us are very familiar are excellent for our shipping purposes. Other boxes that are clean and sturdy would also be great. We are more than happy to buy boxes from you for $0.25 each so long as they are sizes that will work for us, and of course we can work in a “visit” when you drop them off (wink wink). Fastenator

Talk about all the rage! This fancy tool cannot keep up with the demand from all you gadget-y gals! But listen up my pretties you don’t NEED the tool to use the staples! Yes that’s right you can carefully break apart the staple bars, poke them through your page or card and bend over the tines with a… ok are you ready for this very high tech device…. A Popsicle stick! Yes Ladies it’s true you can use these just like a nailhead! And Man do they ever add a lot of get up and go to your page! We’re waiting on the fastenator staplers and if you have one on pre-order and would like to cancel your backorder please let us know. We’re sold out of the decorative value packs but do have a fair selection of the small packs.

Holidays!

Yes we’re taking holidays this summer, we think we’ve earned it this year! The store will be closed from August 20th till the long weekend in September. Any orders that come in during this time will be filled in the order in which they are received. Our last shipping date will be the 19th as we’ll be swamped prior to our departure be sure that your order is in by the close of the 17th to ensure shipping before we close.
