Well we can hardly believe that it’s 2004! What an exciting year we have lined up here at R&R! There are SO many new products lined up to come in in the next few months that we can hardly wait! Anxiously awaiting the NEW 72 colours of colourmates cardstock and multipacks. More new from Doodlebug, new suppliers coming on line, other lines being cleared out, but onto the good stuff!
What better way to kick off the New Year than a SALE, I know your dear hubbies hear that and know it’s a four letter word but here goes!
All orders submitted from December 23rd till Midnight January 15th 2004 are eligible for 10% off everything that is IN STOCK in the store!!! No codes necessary, nothing fancy, we’re still honouring the flat rate shipping based on province! Just couldn’t decide what to put on sale and so decided EVERYTHING!
We are starting a few email lists as well… as you know we’ve had a great deal of difficulties maintaining our mailing lists as our list is SO large. We’re going to try and set up a couple different lists, one being the “locals” so that we can announce special events such as the garage sales that we can have 2x a year and the school fundraiser crop and classes that we do each spring (tentatively scheduled for March 20th, 2004) to mention a few. So if you live in the Edmonton or commutable area and would come in for these events please send us an email to sales@scrapbooking.ca and put in the subject line “local” and we’ll know what to do!
The second smaller email list that we’re going to start is the Sizzix one. I’ve become a real sizzix hound myself and just can’t get enough! LOL Anyway as we aren’t permitted to post any sizzix products on the site we can advise customers of when we’ll be placing an order as a last call for special orders via email. Just to let you know we have in regular stock sizzix machines, all alphabets and numbers, stackers, converter kits with bonus!, replacement pads, as well as a the highly sought after Sizzlets (all 3 styles are currently in stock)! We offer competitive pricing on sizzix at just the regular USD price x 1.5, we place orders when we have enough to meet the minimums and when we can coincide with new releases that are coming to save on shipping. All sizzix orders when they arrive will be pulled aside for you if you’ve special ordered dies, we’ll then advise you that they are here and ready to go, to give you an opportunity to quickly add to you order before it ships. Even though sizzix is very heavy we still honour the flat rate shipping based on your province! A note on racks, personal organization has become VERY popular with scrappers of late and so have the demand for the clear racks and the wire racks that we offer. Due to the bulk of these items we cannot re-pack them, we are more than happy to add what we can to these pre-packed boxes, the flat rate shipping will apply to each set of trays or rack. It was great meeting so many of you at CKU in Vancouver in October! Fun to put a face to a name!! I had a great time and learned lots, can’t wait to get on with my resolution this year to use what I’ve learned from some of the best teachers out there!!! One of the biggest things that I came away from CKU with is that great pages don’t need to take forever, sometimes just literally slapping some rough and tumble things down and not paying too close attention to anything can turn out a fantastic page! Some tips that I really liked were the walnut ink, if you haven’t given it a try you really have to , that and taking sandpaper to just about everything!! Patterned paper, shiny brads you name it, nothing is sacred, make it “dirty” with nick bantock ink, smudge it around, SO much fun!!! Give it a try, don’t be shy, make your pages yours with the journaling and the photos
the rest is gravy!!!
As we reflect back on 2003 I’m filled with warm thoughts of you our customers, how supportive you’ve been through the transitions that have had to take place and how richly we’ve been blessed with exponential growth of the business.
