September Newsletter for R&R Scrapbooking

Happy Fall everyone!

Well, the kids are back in school and we're all getting settled into our schedules. It feels like a little slice of normalcy again.

For certain, Fall is upon us. We confess a bit of envy as we think about those of you down east who are lucky enough to enjoy the red maple tree leaves and all the photo opportunities that come along with an Eastern Autumn.

For the last couple years here in Edmonton our family has missed the leaves as often the snow has come early. Yes, we got some on September 9th but it didn't count! Ha ha ha.

This year, we're making a concerted effort to get out and take those great fall family pictures that we cherish all year round. We challenge you to do it as well. There is no time like fall for colourful portraits.

With loads of new goodies coming in all the time, we sure have been busy in the store! If I had to guess what a LOT of you out there are doing, it would be one word, organizing! That, and starting more projects than you know what to do with; the sales for albums have been through the roof! Fresh aspirations I'd guess.

New Kits
Laura and I have been busy this week putting together nice starter packs in both regular and deluxe sizes, baby kits and a must have punch kit. Be sure to check these out under "What's New". Nice with (dare I say) the holiday season coming up! Of course, we also welcome other suggestions you might have.

Extra Extra!
One of the questions we've had now and again is about our classified ad section. Here's how it works. If you've got extra personal supplies that are paper crafting related, post them here. How, you say? It's easy and it's free! Just email Laura at laura@scrapbooking.ca with your ad and contact info and she'll post it for you for one month. If your item/s sell/s before the month is up, let us know and we'll take it off for you. If you need a modification or extension, just let Laura know that too. She's the gal!

Gift Certificates
Ever wonder how to get that scrappin' friend the best present ever? How about a Hubby that got himself into HOT water? R&R Scrapbooking has the answer! We offer credits on account that just can't be beat. Here's how it works: Just send us an email or phone in your special person's name, shipping address, phone # and email, the amount that you'd like on his/her account and whether or not you'd like us to inform him/her for you.

Then we'll call you for payment information. Your part is done. We'll give you the invoice number to put into a card or whatever special thing you'd like to provide. They can place their order using their credit for anything in the store. It's just like cash! The beauty of it is that it doesn't expire and it is available in any increment. Nothing to lose or send! Need more info or ready to place the order? Phone us at 780-489-6713 or email me at rhea@scrapbooking.ca. We're here to help!

Garage Sale
For our local customers, we're planning the BIG garage sale for this fall. The tentative dates to be marking on your calendar are Oct. 6, 7 & 8. Our plan is to be open until 8 on Thursday as we realize that we're not open on the weekend for those ladies who can't get away from work or the kids during the day. This is the kick off for the Thanksgiving long weekend and so we've opted for the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday so as not to cut into the weekend but also be able to accommodate the out of town customers who will be coming in for the Holiday. Keep in mind that these dates are subject to change, so do make sure to check the What's New section often for updates.

Change is good!
Thanks to everyone for the positive feedback on the new colour of the website. The pink has been very popular. Rob is working on loads of new surprises for you regular visitors.

We've updated our email list for the newsletter notification, so if you've received an email notification twice or to an address that isn't valid, please do let us know at wilson3@shaw.ca and we'll be sure to fix it up for you.

Coming Unglued!!

The response that we've had from the review that I did on the albums was great! The suggestion that came over most of all was for a review of adhesives. That's a big task but I'll give it a go. Rather than in the newsletter, look for it later this week at the top of the adhesives section. The album review has been added to the top of the album section as well.

Once in a while, we hear a comment that a customer isn't able to view the adhesives section. They find that somehow the link isn't there. We don't know why that is happening because we're unable to duplicate the problem here. In any case, here is a link that will work to take you to the adhesives section: www.scrapbooking.ca/ad.html. Let us know if you still have problems with that.

For now I'll say farewell. I've got a job ahead of me with that adhesives review! Let me know what you'd like to see next or any comments on any of the other reviews I've done.

Have a great fall day and get snapping those cameras while the leaves are still pretty.

Yours in Scrapbooking
